Analysis :
Director Venu Sriram picked up PINK/Nerkonda Paarvai an absorbing court room drama, a reflection on the patriarchal mindset of our male-dominated society andchanged it into a commercial story teller.
The film takes a dig at the society and its stereotypical norms and partiality towards women along with Pawan Kalyan’s extravaganza. The role of Kalyan is purely an extended cameo. Kalyan did his best as an actor after a very long time.
I thought Nivetha Thomas will be highlight of the film but Anjali did fabulous in Vakeel Sab. Sruthi Hassan episodes are forceful and heavy baggage for the story’s flow.
Vakeel Saab is a faithful remake with few boring moments, high moments and additional scenes for Kalyan fans. As the remake is made for those who have not seen the original,
Nobody except those who have seen the original will complain about it. With the screenplay skilfully sketched by Venu Sriram to satisfy Kalyan’s fandom this movie is an absolute treat to watch.
The three girls were exceptional in thier roles. They justified the characters with thier emotional and outstanding performances.
Prakash raj as nanda will offer some racha max moments for fans whenever pk takes up his name in the court. Keeping it aside prakash raj did a neat performance in the film.
Director venu sriram did splendid job in balancing PK image with out disturbing the actual plot handled the remake well.
Thaman terrific bgm elevated court room and figth scenes to another level. Songs were good.
Production values and cinematography are good.
Pros:-
•Anjali, Nivetha, Ananya
•Pawan kalyan – Prakash raj scenes
•Fans stuff
•Bgm
Cons:-
•Lag in flash back
•Shruthi hasan was not properly utilized
Final verdict:- Vakeel saab is a commercial remake of pink and it works well although there is some drag. Movie delivers the message with enough commercial elements for fans
Rating:- 3.25/5
